Karkat hopes Dave won't find out how much he can actually tolerate him.. (Okay, okay, how much he likes him.) But when others start to figure it out for Strider, Karkat freaks out and decides that he wants to keep Dave oblivious to his feelings for him. Besides, Dave's a cool kid, he'll just use Karkat. Right? No? Karkat isn't sure, but he doesn't want to take any chances.
Dave's pretty sure he likes Karkat, but isn't it weird to be attracted to a grey angry alien? Besides, Karkat just rejects his nicknames and harmless teasing. Aren't those clues enough? Or is he actually rejecting them like Dave thinks. Cool kids can't get rejected. Dave is having some trouble deciding between keeping his ego (that's vital to hide his insecurity) and possibly getting a chance at Karkat.
Will Dave figure it out, confess, or keep hiding his insecurities. Will Karkat spill, or keep his feelings a secret?
