The room was silent. Cold. Unforgiving.

Gi-hun knelt on the concrete floor, wrists bound, heart pounding louder than the echo of his unsteady breaths. His mind raced, confusion and heartbreak tangling together as he stared at the figure standing before him.

The mask came off.

Hwang In-ho.

Gi-hun's voice trembled. "Why... why are you doing this?"

In-ho knelt, his gloved hand gently brushing Gi-hun's cheek, his eyes holding something deep-intense, desperate, yet undeniably tender.

"I had to, Gi-hun," he whispered. "I've loved you for three years. I couldn't let you walk away again. Not when you came back. Not when I finally have you here."

Gi-hun shook his head, voice cracking. "This isn't right..."

In-ho's gaze softened, but his voice remained steady. "You'll see. In time. I'll prove it to you."

The door closed behind them.

No escape. Not this time.
