Princess Levina: Princess Levina isn't a princess at all. In fact, most in the kingdom of Ivyshire, and even Indigoria, would believe her power of mere super stealth should remain on the rank of Useless. Yet, from the age of three years old, she has been forced to pretend to be special in order to keep her life. Now, seventeen years old, she's ready to overthrow the king, her abductor, during the Royal Balls, all while uncovering secrets and avoiding love. Aiden: Aiden Yarrow is the best commander that the Indigoria Royal Guard has ever had. His father, the previous commander, would never admit it though. The royal family of Indigoria has always been close allies with Ivyshire's royal family, meaning they attend each other's royal events. Aiden, being the cousin of the king, will uncover secrets about his family that he had never expected while attending the Royal Balls. All while running from the obvious tension that he shares with the girl he dislikes the most, Princess Levina.

Everyone believes Ivy's parents-the king and queen-were killed in a tragic carriage accident and that she went missing, never to be seen again. But she knows the truth. She knows that King Rymond, the man who took the throne after her parent's death, is really the one who killed them and chased her from her home. She lives in hiding . . . until the day the soldiers find her. Then she is on the run with her life in constant danger. Kenric, an ex-soldier saves her and is brought, rather unwillingly, into the chase that has become her life. She knows what she must do. She must take the sapphire broach-the symbol of her lineage-to Rymond's throne, prove herself, and expose his treachery, but she is loath to do it, for it could have deadly consequences. Can she put her personal fears behind her and save her kingdom, or is the price of truth too great for one woman to bear?
