It all had happened so fast that Holly fell into defensive mode. She struggled to her feet and shakily nocked an arrow, ready to prevent her death again. Holly put distance between her and the thing when it slowly turned to eye her. Her heart thundered in her chest when coming face to face with the beast. Shivers ran through her nerves, alarm stiffening her limbs in fright.
This was no beast but a predator.
