Amra Mendes has just turned 15 years old, and is luckier than anyone else to say that. Six months earlier, Amra and her best friend, Ashlynn were in a horrible car crash, leaving them in comas. After four months, Amra woke up, only to find Ashlynn didn't make it out. Behind his family's back, Amra's father demands a job transfer to hopefully pull Amra out of her miserable reality, to start over, and get another chance at happy. He announces that the family has to make a move to New Jersey. But the opposite takes place. Amra becomes more upset. But things change when she meets Annika Dolan, her new neighbor. Things start to look up, she has hope for her new "life" especially when she's invited to a Dolan Fourth of July Party, bumping into a beautiful brown eyed boy, then another. After forming a tight knit friendship, can these two boys help Amra recover? What happens if someone catches feelings along the way? Will they avoid the obvious connection, or find the will to try?
