The test tube cracked, red mist leaked from the broken glass as an eye opened, a beautiful amber color, lizard-like with no sclera, a black slit in the middle of the deadly creature's eye.
It clicked it's jaws, tar black in color, but quickly changed colors to be a crimson red, the hoots and growls emanated from the now awake creature in the tube.
Scientists around it, looked in morbid excitement, the creature in the tube, looked slightly human, despite the, scales, tail, and other parts, feathers, red in color, lined it's scaly back, a gorgeous frill rapped around the raptor like head, acting as some form of scarf.
Men started to surround the misty chamber, careful not to frighten the new monster, but failing in the process.
It hissed, frill flapping out and shacking as it banged against the glass of its chamber, cracks formed along it, the room started filling with the crimson red mist.
CRASH
The sound of flash shattering and falling to the ground sounded through the room, quick, barely audible footsteps, sped through the room as screams started to play through the room, like a twisted record, broken on one song.
When the carnage was over, the creature broke through the door, sprinting down the hall and into the outside world, when the sun hit, it paused, unable to process the new feeling of the warm sun on its flesh, it looked at the world it had been made into, chirping and clicking in happiness at the new smells and sounds.
But the animals around the creature fled, scared by the genetic abomination, the blood dripping from its snout and claws, it ran, not stopping for a second, quickly picking up speed, before anyone knew, it was gone, forever lost to the wilderness, oblivious to the carnage it left behind.
The world thought it died, but oh no.
It adapted
