IN WHICH
𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘆 decides to 'take a risk' and tell 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁 how she feels.

𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘆 met 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁 back in elementary. 𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘆 and her mom moved to boston from los angeles when she was 8. she was the new kid and immediately clicked with 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁, chris, and nick. 𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘆 and 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁 stayed best friends through junior high and even up till high school. 𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘆 discovered she had more than platonic feelings for 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁 during her freshman year. she always went to 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁 about everything, and 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁 always went to her with everything. the only difference was 𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘆 never went to him about anything romantic or intimate, because the first person she ever liked in that way was him and she was petrified of rejection. however, 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁 always went to her with his romantic drama. and deep down it stung for her to hear and have to give her most honest advice without hinting at the fact that she had feelings for him.

during their junior year, 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁 goes through a sorta rough breakup with his gf, amelia. they had been together since the second semester of their freshman year. 𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘆 decides that shes gonna tell him. it had been 3 years, and the not knowing was killing her. so she takes the risk and tells him.
