"Huh?" He knelt beside her, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "Are you dreaming?" He chuckled softly. "What a cutie."

Her fingers loosened, her hand falling back onto the bed.

Jimin leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead.

"I'm someone who likes you, idiot," he whispered, his voice tender. "More than you'll ever know."

He lingered for a moment, then with one last glance at her peaceful face, he quietly left the room.

Promise is a fan fiction that I began writing during the peak of the pandemic. At that time, we kept hearing that wearing masks was our new normal and that staying at home would be part of our lives for the foreseeable future. It was a challenging period for all of us to adjust, but thankfully, things have improved since then.

During that time, I found myself wondering: How do BTS and other public figures feel, constantly under the public's gaze, vulnerable to judgment and hate? Do they accept this as their new normal? Have they learned to adjust to it, or are they still longing for the "real" normal? This thought weighed on me heavily.

I paused working on the story as my focus shifted to other responsibilities-work, and nurturing my painting and digital skills. But after five years, I've decided to revisit my unfinished stories, unsure if fanfiction is still widely read. If you find this, I hope it brings you comfort.

So, here is Promise, a heartfelt fan fiction that explores the deep and evolving relationship between Luna, a passionate young woman with a mysterious past, and Jimin, a member of a popular K-pop group struggling with his own inner turmoil.
