A year after Weirdmageddon, Gravity Falls has settled into its usual brand of quirky, unpredictable weirdness. When Dipper and Mabel Pines return to the Mystery Shack for another summer, they're ready for adventure-but nothing could prepare them for the arrival of a mysterious stranger.
With his golden eye and a sharp wit, the newcomer seems harmless enough-except for his unsettling familiarity. Mabel is quick to befriend him, drawn to his strange quirks and charm, but Dipper isn't so sure. As it turns out, the stranger is none other than Bill Cipher, now trapped in a powerless human form. Claiming he's changed his ways and just wants to experience life as a human in peace, Bill insists he's no threat to anyone. But with his shady past and penchant for mischief, earning Dipper's trust won't be easy.
As the summer unfolds, Bill tries to adjust to his new life, fumbling through human emotions and mundane tasks while struggling to shake off his old, chaotic instincts. However, when remnants of Bill's past begin to resurface, threatening the fragile peace of Gravity Falls, the Pines twins must decide: is the reformed Bill truly an ally, or is he just waiting for the perfect moment to reclaim his power?
