Master Kayaga Ubuyashiki (I'm going to pray I got that correct) arranged to Tsufuji to be wed to the serpent hashira Obanai Iguro. Maybe it was to teach to stone-hearted man compassion. Or perhaps he just felt like putting the hashira through hell that particular month. All Obanai knows is that he 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 her guts. She acts kind of like Mitsuri, but she not her, so it just annoys him...
