Elana Baker, Hanna's cousin. the daughter of her dad's brother had moved in with them not long before the party kat hosted at Hanna's house. Elana was always so nice and caring to everyone including Hanna. Hanna had 13 reasons to leave but 1 to stay. Elana was Hanna's light in the dark.

Hanna faces a lot of things in highschool but so did Elana. much like her cousin she had unwanted attention from males.

- Tyler didn't stalk Hanna he stalked Elana. Hanna found out that he was stalking Elana and confronted him. she called him a creep and threatened to tell Elana if he didn't stop. well he got mad and took pictures of Hanna and Courtney in the act. Hanna caught him but he got away fast enough. the next day everyone seen the picture and Courtney blamed Hanna.

that made Tyler, and Courtney two more reasons to leave.

Hanna knew that elana faced the nasty comments of guys all of the time just like she did but she didn't know that it was so much worse.

the jocks of the school were making a list and Alex decided to join in and write some stuff to try and make Jessica jealous. he wrote Hanna Baker - nice ass. but for Elana she had a lot of things under her name. hers was Elana baker- big ass, huge tits, nice body and many things written under hers but Hanna made sure she never seen the list.

Jessica never took her anger out on Elana because she knew Elana was too innocent. but she did take it out on Hanna.
