What We Forgot

Rayna Lovell is a human. A human who knows that the things that go bump in the night are real. And when Elijah Mikaelson needs her knowledge and research expertise, the friendship they form raises some eyebrows. For it is not often a vampire needs help from a human.
When Klaus daggers Elijah and travels for the summer, he claims Rayna's services and orders her infiltrate a wolf pack and sway them to his side. But when she returns from her task and sees that Elijah is awake and well, their friendship is strained. She acts differently around him and his siblings, and he doesn't know why.
But when the news of Hayley's pregnancy reaches them, they put their difficulties to the side and hurry to New Orleans, both desperate to help before time runs out.
