Starlight and Ebonfire

The kingdom of Faraley is under siege, and the only solution to protect the heir of Faraley is to send her away to a distant and reluctant ally. Princess Annalei is hates to leave her homeland during such dire times, but she understands as a princess, duty comes before her wants and needs.

Doesn't mean she still can't find a reason to be upset about being sent away.

She finds herself in Draconia, Home of the Dragons, an unlikely but much needed ally during these difficult times. King Xeraxes is known for his prowess in battle, and the strength of his fighting force, both of which he has promised to use to reclaim Faraley for Annalei should worst come to worst, and her father's reign comes to a swift end.

There is only one small issue however; King Xeraxes is less than human. In fact, He isn't even human at all, much to Annalei's dismay.

Plus, he's poor-mannered, arrogant, and outright hostile towards Annalei. She can't stand him, and he couldn't care less about her. Still, regardless of her prejudice towards dragons and his distaste for humans, they can't help but be drawn towards one another.

Her homeland torn apart by war and a hostile--but attractive--Dragon King are the "rock and a hard place" she never thought she'd be trapped between.
