She stood atop the building, trying to decide if she was to listen to the words of Lyndon that still rang in her head.
"That's the bloodstain of the previous suicide. They all start with diffrent problems, but all end with the same result. What makes you think you're so special?" The wind blew across her face, and put her off balance. She stumbled, and fell.

I looked down the side of the building. Should I do this? I thought stepping a little farther towards safety. What have I got to lose? No one loves me, I should just stop being a waste of air. I stepped to the very edge of the building. Come on. I couldn't bring myself to just step off. My heart raced, my hair was drenched with sweat. Just do it. "You've gotta go now, come on, please." she was begging now, the frantic edge to her voice undeniable. Even without Robyn's wolf hearing, the drumming of boots outside getting closer and closer was impossible to ignore. Despite her heart being against it, she heaved open the window, logic telling her the truth, that letting go was the only way to ensure her safety, but why did letting go have to be so painful? "Yeah, I'll be fine." Robyn replied quietly, panting, adrenaline breaking down the emotionless expression she always tried to maintain and revealing how vulnerable she really was in that moment. Turning towards the window, she prepared to take the leap; a leap towards freedom and safety, but also a leap of loss, the loss of her alpha. "I don't want to leave you!" she cried, whirling around from the window like it burned her, eyes glimmering with tears that threatened to fall. "You are my alpha now," she paused, pure anguish dripping from her words as she stared into Katrina's eyes, cool blue to contrast and watery to match Robyn's. Katrina saw something snap within Robyn, something falling away from her expression, and finally she was seeing her, really seeing her, and she knew, as the words began flowing, that Robyn was only telling the truth. "If you wanted me to, I would stay." she said loudly. Katrina wanted to protest, but could only shake her head in disbelief. "I would lose my wolf for you!" The air was heavy with tension and intent. Words spun in her head, unable to fit together to form sentences, and something almost tangible sparked in the air between them, they just didn't know what.Complete

She had been scrambling towards a sudden drop! The hands hauled her back, but she still struggled. She didn't want to look at it, and she still wasn't sure she wouldn't rather take her chances with the open air instead. "Stop it, I'm not going to hurt you! You'll hit your head on the rock or something. Wren, please!" It knew her name. Somehow it knew her. She was going to die! "Let me go! Stop touching me!" She was sitting on the rocky floor now with her back against an uneven wall, and it was trying to pin her down and hold her still. She kept her eyes turned away and struggled helplessly, but it was no use. It was strong like a human man too, and she couldn't keep it off of her. The wings had moved until they curved around them both and shut out a lot of the light. Its face was so near hers that she could feel its breath brushing against her skin. "Please just look at me for a second. Just look. I'm not going to hurt you." One of the hands grabbed her chin and forced her head to turn, and then she was looking straight into a pair of dark brown eyes. It had a human face too. She had been expecting something monstrous or ghastly, and the surprise made her falter for a moment. He looked young, with a bad haircut and an earnest expression on his face. "I'll let go of you, okay? Just don't lunge around like that anymore, you'll get hurt." He whispered.Complete

The scents of new flowers impregnated the moist air, birds flew in the sky, people smiled and laughed. It truly was a glorious day to die. The boy with the sad gray eyes stared down at the ground, far, far below, his short dark hair blown back by the wind. His bare toes curled nervously over the edge of the building, knocking tiny bits of stone down, down, down ten stories of brick walls and dusty windows to the empty pavement below. The streets were empty in this part of town where aspiring artists set up shop in abandoned warehouses and old factories. No one would stop him here.Complete
