Emma Hale was your typical country gal. She wore her cowboy boots and cut offs. Cared for her horses as if they were he children. She loved trucks as much as the boys and she was close with her father and brother Ryan. Her life was just the way she wanted it and she looked forward to spending the summer before senior year with her best friend Benjamin. Emma realizes that things can't always last forever and everything changes, but this was not what she expected. It wasn't often that new people came along in the southern town of Taveenville, and it just so happened that a house freed up in just the right time for the new ignorant city boy right next door to her. This boy better be ready for hell because a new neighbor was Emma's worst nightmare. He frustrates her and causes her attitude to make a major turn back to childhood. She hates his cocky attitude and the way he calls her 'darlin'. He enjoys watching her squirm under pressure. He likes to make her feel uncomfortable and gets a good laugh out of all her anger. There can only be one reason for all this, and it just might be that Emma Hale is His Kind Of Crazy

"What'cha looking at?" I asked, in a cheeky tone. "Uh.....nothing......you just look nicer, that's all...." Mattias muttered. I grinned smugly. That's right, Mattias - never judge people on their first appearance. Liz is on her way up to a swim carnival in the city when her family is forced to stay for a few days at a famers house. At first, she is rudely ignored by the two sons, and decides to ignore them back.... but then she finds herself falling for one of them. Does her really like her back? And in the end, is it worthwhile for her to get emotionally invested? Read on and find out! ⚠ Short Disclaimer⚠ I wrote this whole plot when I was about 15-16, so my age will be reflected in the writing style & quality of this story. This is written from a romanticised viewpoint of a teenage girl who was living in the country at the time. That's apparently where I was at this time in my emotional maturity (and yes, I may have known a boy a bit like Mattias). So, bear with me - you've been warned. Buckle up and jump on board if you're ready to enjoy a classic, cheesy country romance with a short plot twist!
