Caden Cadmus has recently had an unfortunate run in with demons. His comrades abandoned him for dead. Narrowly surviving his encounter, his misfortune was not done yet, he now carried with him a fell curse. His life has become one of darkness. Abandoned and forgotten, he seeks to find a cure for his abyssal ailment. No clerics or holy powers are able to cleanse him. For over a year he wanders seeking what he has lost. 

It is in the city of Garadan where his salvation awaits. A demonfolk woman held there as prisoner knows where to take him if he is to be relieved of his curse.

The lord of the city, his old master in arms and teacher, Aurelio Ortansio has other plans though. Things are starting to take a turn for the worse in their kingdom of Agenor. 

Will he be able to obtain what he needs to deal with his curse?
