After the battle with the Ghost Riders and Monroe, everything seemed to return to normal at least for the pack. Liam went back to his place within the group, where someone like him would never be accepted, but the world continued to spin. The nights were the hardest, though. Late into the hours, as Liam lay awake, something inside him stirred. Everyone thought it was because of Hayden leaving for Europe to study, but Liam knew better. It wasn't Hayden he missed. It was someone else-someone he couldn't stop thinking about, but who seemed unreachable.

Then, just when Liam started to believe he had moved on, that person unexpectedly reappeared in his life. They seemed different, more sincere, like everything had been resolved. For a moment, Liam allowed himself to believe that maybe they had changed. Maybe this time things would work out.

But what if everything was a lie? What if this person hadn't changed at all? What if, in reality, they were still the same? And when something unexpected happens, Liam starts to question everything. The truth he thought he knew turns out to be far darker than he could have imagined. They hadn't changed. They had only ever been good at one thing.. Lying.
