(Yes the title is based on the song Brave by Zayde Wolf) A young girl, most likely barely 8 has a dream. One no one can take from her. She wants to help, to solve. She has an unmatched need to know more about everything. But being in an orphanage in New York could only get the child so far...one day the orphanage is given the chance to meet heroes who have saved countless lives. When they arrive, the young girl's attention is instantly drawn to one of the heroes which has shielded himself to the back...Almost..afraid...This was her hero. This man, who has helped save this world, is also trying to make it a better place. The Doctor was terrified of accidentally lashing out and accidentally letting his other side out to the children, who pay little to no attention to him. The other hero's he calls friends encouraged him to come, that it would be good..but they have also seem to forget about him in the moment. All he wants is to be excepted and loved..then a little pair of green eyes meet his brown ones...

From what I know of Bruce Banner's backstory before Avengers Assemble, especially his suicide attempt, is quite greatly overlooked along with all of the Avengers mental health. This is just how I thought it might play out, and who knows I might do one for all the characters. TRIGGER WARNINGS: mentions and depictions of suicide and trauma (though this is of course a trigger warning because I don't know what might set you off, it might do you well to keep in mind, depending on how much you read into things, there is a lot of self-reflection in this book and just might open your mind to how your view on everything is.
