Briar Avery is a med student that is dragged away to go camping with her friends. She has a hard time sleeping so she goes for a walk and sees an injured dragon (Obsidian)
Obsidian is a foul mouthed evil black dragon with piercing red eyes known and feared in his realm as the Nightbringer. He despises humans he only sees them as pathetic creatures who are fun to frighten. However meeting Briar is different. She doesn't have any cruelty or greed in those blue eyes. He is greatful she helped him so he turned into his human form and lives with her helping out at her apartment while she studied and worked as a payment for her kindness.
He was eventually tamed and fell in love with Briar.
