"Uh... Y/N," Jayce finally said, the name slipping from his lips with a hint of hesitation. "How about that? Y/N."

She repeated the name softly, testing it on her tongue. "Y/N. I like it."

Y/N tilted her head, her curiosity undeterred. "Your hands are warm. Why?" She ran her metallic fingers over Caitlyn's palm, the contrast between warm skin and cool metal oddly fitting in the strange dynamic they'd developed.

Caitlyn sighed, her lips twitching into a small smile. "Because I'm human, Y/N. You know that."

"I know," Y/N replied, her voice soft. She leaned against Caitlyn, her head resting lightly on her shoulder. "I just like how it feels. Warm and... alive."

Y/N's smile grew even wider, and she looked at Caitlyn with a spark of determination in her eyes. "One day," she said confidently, "I'll feel everything. Like you."

For a moment, the room fell silent, the weight of her words settling over them. Caitlyn squeezed Y/N's hand lightly before releasing it, her lips curving into a small, encouraging smile.

"One day," Caitlyn echoed softly.
