The story follows Astra, the daughter of Zeus, who was banished to the Isle of the Lost as an infant. Growing up on the Isle, Astra has no memory of Olympus or her divine heritage. She has always been told that her "father" was a powerless delinquent who abandoned her. Astra feels like an outsider even among the Isle kids, as strange bursts of lightning and uncontrollable storms seem to follow her anger.

When Maleficent's staff is accidentally reactivated, it triggers a series of ancient trials tied to Astra's true lineage. These trials could unlock a powerful artifact capable of freeing everyone from the Isle-or destroying it entirely. Astra must navigate the trials while contending with alliances, betrayals, and her growing understanding of her godly powers.
