In the year 1864, when railway was introduced in Lakeshire, a small town in Romania, Railway Worker Robert Lockwood along with his family was transferred there to start its functioning in full phrase. A new town, new school, new house, new people: Mr. Lockwood was all set to embrace his new life with his family, given the fact that things were looking in his favour with the handsome salary and residential facilities he was offered.

Little did he know about the town he was sent to work in.

Few days of eerie awakenings make Lockwood and his family realise that Lakeshire was not like London, their former residence. Trains run without drivers, doors open and close on their own, radio starts playing at a particular hour of the night, and attendance in the school is more than the number of students present.

As the line between reality and the supernatural blurs, the Lockwoods must uncover the town's buried secrets. But in Lakeshire, some truths are better left undisturbed.
