Daphne paced around her bedroom, thinking hard. Now, she knew little about the divided divine stone. People had fought for it. Divided for it. She sat on the bed, her chin resting on her palms. That was the very moment that the most insane, exotic, and brilliant idea popped into her head. She slowly sits upright. She would steal each piece. She would steal each kingdom. But she will need a crew. Rob them all. Rob them of the stone they paid blood for. And finally find the spy, who had tried to kill her just a few hours ago.

'Are you aware that kingdoms and millions of people had wanted to acquire that for hundreds of years?'
'Yes, I am aware.'
'And you want to steal it?'
'Yes.'
'You are mad, ' she said, grinning.

A man stormed in with a gun. She was shot. She lived, but the part of her that trusted life didn't. After that, she became careful. She avoided crowds. Sudden movements made her freeze. She spent more time alone because it felt easier than being around people who didn't understand what had happened to her. Life became smaller, but it felt safer that way. Then one night, someone came for her. He took her from her bed without explaining who he was. He kept her moving, kept her close, and kept his distance at the same time. A man who lived by rules she didn't understand and fear she couldn't escape. Everything about him screamed danger, yet he never touched her without reason. Never spoke more than necessary. He lived for one person only. Everything he did was for his brother. His brother had lost an eye years ago because of him, and he treated that loss like something he could never make right. He followed his brother's orders without thinking about the consequences. When his brother wanted something, he made it happen. Eliza asked questions. Tried to understand what she had been pulled into. The man who kidnapped her protected her but never from the truth. In the silence he left behind, she started filling in the gaps herself. She told herself he wouldn't protect her if she didn't matter. She told herself that the way he stayed close meant something. When she finally learns the reason she was taken, it doesn't come gently. It strips away everything she believed and leaves her facing the fact that she was never chosen. She was a promise. A problem someone else decided to solve. Two brothers want different things from her. One wants to own her. One never planned to keep her. Around them is a world where violence is normal, where people disappear without anyone asking questions, and where some men hunt for reasons that have nothing to do with survival. This is not a story about being saved.

A/N: ANY OFFERS FOR COMIC OR ANYTHING WILL BE DENIED AND DELETED. I'm not interested. ***SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T COMPLETED VOLUME 1!!!*** The veiled woman gently stroked the magic ball and peered at it. I couldn't see anything on its cloudy surface and nervously waited for her to speak. "Ah I see it... there's conflict, a passionate kiss, and a deadly battle hard fought in the near future." I nearly shot up from the seat in the fortune telling booth with excitement. "Seriously? Wow, Ophelia sure has her work cut out for her." The fortune teller paused before raising an eyebrow underneath her thin veil. "This is your future." "...Pardon?" -- The future has never looked dimmer but at least I didn't have to worry about being stabbed to death anytime soon. Trying to adjust to my new everyday life, I'm thrust into a situation where I'm given a rank far above my capabilities. Now forced into the spotlight and gaining the attention of the flirty Third Ranker, and the sadistically dangerous First Ranker; I'm exhausted before the second year's even truly begun. With a new term, new dangers and secrets emerge. And trying to stay uninvolved while being a cheerleader for the heroine continues to backfire. Well... at least I've got a nice place all to myself. As if to mock me, the doorbell rings and my face darkens. Unfortunately, it came with having to deal with troublesome characters who couldn't leave me alone. Hey, I already clocked out! Go bother someone else! [This story has fan art/official art in every chapter!] [CURRENT WORDCOUNT: 115k words] [AVAILABLE NOW ON TAPAS! Instead of long chapters, there are 185+ chapters instead! #1 in romance genre (1stJan - 8th Jan.) ( Again placed #1 in romance in Feb) Aaron got up from his seat and walked round the table towards her while she was still sitting as if glued to that seat. He bent towards her, his one hand on the table and with the other he held her chin so that their eyes were at level.. "Listen to me very clearly, Mrs Livia Aaron Rodriguez, you are my wife now. So you can only think of me, talk to me, smile at me, look at me and be around me only. You will do what I say." "I am not your slave." Ignoring her protest he continued,"And if you are feeling very needy and if you want to sleep with a man so much then don't worry just come to me and I promise you, I'll give you the best physical pleasure in this world. Afterall I'm quite experienced in this physical pleasure department." "Bastard!" she slapped his hand away but Aaron caught her mouth and kissed her hard... ____________ A cold and arrogantly ruthless CEO by day and a playboy by night, was how newspapers and magazines always portrayed the young billionaire Aaron Rodriguez but how much of truth did these rumours held? Was he really that kind of person as the rumours called or was there a different shade of him? I woke up in a daze, unsure of why my body felt so stiff, so sore. I winced as I threw my legs over the side of the bed, and again as I stood up, pain flaring from every muscle in my body as I made my way to the polished mirror beside my wardrobe. I gasped at the sight of the bruised and battered girl in front of me. The memories from last night flooded my mind. It was my birthday. Father had invited several high class guests to the event. He expected me to begin courting. The man he had introduced me to was a plump old man. I had refused adamantly, his years against my fourteen churned my stomach. Unfortunately, my father didn't take my refusal well. He grabbed me by the arm roughly and dragged me into the attic-my bedroom. His beatings were getting worse. At least the last time i t hadn't taken much effort to hide the pain. This time that wouldn't be possible. This time, there would be no hiding it. This time the pain was too much. I whimpered as I headed to the door, but it was locked. It seems my father had predicted my state. Rage and anger burned through my veins as I slammed my fist against the door. One day I would learn to defend myself. One day I would escape this wretched castle. One day I would no longer be bound by the Caspian people. One day I will no longer be their princess. "I will get away from here, and you will pay for what you've done old man." I vowed before slamming my fist against the door again. "I will be free." I huffed as I crawled back into the bed for some much needed rest.
