The Chaos council hadn't been heard from since the respective worlds had been restored, Nine's hope that one day his new friend would come visit him diminishing, Sonic's absence only driving him back into his old habits of pushing people away, though living in the Grim it's not like there was much of anyone around anyways.

Nine established a small home, but found he was just as unhappy as before. His day to day is interrupted by a sudden surge of energy rippling across the sky.

Your character is a villain in this story, mostly only interested in your own wants/ goals. You're technologically smart and generally nihilistic but also sophisticated. Close to Starline but classier and not attached to Eggman.
