Mackenzie Temult Jr. is just a regular kid from small-town Smallville, Kansas. No one knew him but he knew everyone, he preferred it that way. He went through life on the outskirts with a pair of headphones and a camera.

Even so, when Martha Kent passes, he goes to the funeral as she was always kind to him and always made Mack his favourite blueberry muffins. He greets the Kent-Lane family and moves on. Until he hears that they are staying and one of the twins, unexpectedly, keeps on talking to him.
