THE LOST GENERATION After being bitten by a genetically engineered spider, young Peter Parker finds that he now has incredibly enhanced strength, speed and agility. Along with the ability to adhere to any surface, a precognitive spider-sense that warns him of danger and a pair of mechanized web shooters, the idealistic teenager fights against evil as the costumed hero Spider-Man. Set during the decade of the 1990's, this is a Generation X version of the Amazing Spider-Man story. This is a time when young people believed that they had the power to change the world for the better. In order to make a difference, Peter will need to rely on his friends for help and have the courage to believe in good. LAST ISSUE: The forces of good strike back. Over the course of the last six months, the police and a pair of determined vigilantes fight to keep New York safe from Wilson Fisk's criminal organization. Hoping to put the final nail in the Kingpin's coffin, Daredevil infiltrates his secret meeting. For the first time ever, the man without fear confronts his hated enemy face to face. It is a brutal fight that results in the brave hero suffering a gruesome injury. Now, the city seems more vulnerable than ever. Battling against the enigmatic Mysterio, Spider-Man defeats this dangerous villain. During the conflict, the master of illusions is unexpectedly killed. To make matters worse, Felicia Hardy is injured by gunfire and needs to be taken to a nearby hospital. This leaves Peter Parker wondering if he can keep people safe. All of a sudden, his stress and anxiety gets the better of him. Now, he decides to quit being Spider-Man. Without the wall crawler, what chance does New York have of ridding itself of crime?
