Life is harsh, especially if you are a 17 year old girl who keeps fighting a losing battle, struggling to reconcile with one's internal chaos. Wren Ellison's self esteem is low - 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒍𝒐𝒘. Anxiety and stress consume her entire life up. Without any effort, her thoughts easily spiral into an overwhelming, chaotic mess of overthinking. Why, you may ask? Simple: not once in her life have her caring actions and loving intentions been appreciated by anyone else.
It's easy to break a ceramic doll no one loves or care for- all it takes is a single person to mishandle it and it's shattered forever.

She's known around campus as the typical stuck-up, nerdy girl who keeps everything to herself. She's usually misunderstood and easy to overlook. Wren's quiet, introverted nature only reinforces the image, making it easier for others to label her rather than get to truly know her.
She's alone completely 𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒆. No friends no nothing. She knows it's not healthy but she's too scared to break out of her own cage, afraid she will be mishandled again. She will just continue to suffer silently behind a serious and calm facade she built herself, desperately hoping she will mask her innocent and naive heart.

𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒍... that's until she meets Milo Westbrook. The popular, tall, brunnete guy, girls fawn over at school. At first glance, he seems like the typical player-someone who hooks up with different girls every week and who happens to be an asshole. And that's exactly what Wren first thought when she saw him.
But that's all just rumors spread by annoying 'pick-me' types and jerks who think they're his friends. In reality, Milo is a laid-back, calm, and genuinely nice guy. He's dedicated to his rock band,he formed with his childhood best friends back when they were freshmen. Milo feels free when he's on stage performing, strumming his electric guitar as if the world fades away. It's his only way to cope with his guilty pleasure, with h

"And why is it you don't want to work with anyone in the band?" "I don't like anyone." I said simply. "And that is the point of doing this group activity. But now let me ask you two questions. One, Why do you put up with band if you don't like anyone? And Two, Why don't you like anyone else?" Ms. Emma asked me, leaning a bit forward in her seat meaning she expects an answer from me. "I put up with band because I love my grandma and she was always telling me to be a trumpet. She died about a year ago and I just want to honor her memory" I say looking down. "I'm so sorry Jace." Ms. Emma says, and I look up to see an emotion I hate. Empathy. I don't want her sympathy. So I changed the topic and answered the second question. "And I don't like the band because they all like her. The weirdo. She's always happy, always talking with everyone as if they are the most special person in the world, she's happy about playing more music than any of us needs to. She's so weird that it's like she's popular. She's not normal, not right. All I want to say is pair me up with anyone but her. I hate her, Ms. Emma." Ms. Emma just looks at me like I am the weird one. "And who, pray tell, is that Jace?" I was a little shocked she didn't know. Or maybe she did and she wanted to hear me say it. So I said her name just to make her happy. "Astrid." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jace Vaughn hates Astrid. All because she is weird. Or maybe he is jealous because of how "easy" her life seems to be. He's always getting bullied by his supposed loved ones, and his favorite person in the world left him unwillingly. When a band project and a few mean words make Jace and Astrid's fates intertwine, can Jace forget his hate and learn to be friends with a musically nerdy girl? and maybe, just maybe, can he learn to love again?

"Wanted to be bold." I blush while I avoid eye contact. "Devin needed to borrow clothes for gym." I stare at my bare legs. "I should've told her no." He shrugs, biting into his sub. "Not a fan of exposing the body." I nibble on my burrito. "I just don't want anyone to get the wrong idea." I tuck my hair behind my ear. "That you're easy." My face reddens as I look at him in the corner of my eyes. After a few moments, I nod. He sighs. "The only thing that makes a girl easy is if she lets every and any guy inside." He runs his fingers through his hair. "Clothes or attitude has nothing to do with it." I trace a circle on my thigh. "And a guy that believes otherwise is either a dick or a rapist." I smile. "Avery." "Ava." "Your brain works in wonderful ways." I get more comfortable and lean on his shoulder. "So you've said." I giggle. "I'm glad to share the same name as you." ~ A girl, a perfectionist, named Avery Jones has been in love with her childhood friend's brother for as long as she can remember. He's never noticed her, though, he doesn't really notice anyone. He's sort of an insouciant philanderer. They couldn't be any different, the only thing that connects them is their names. Oh, by the way, his name is also Avery Jones; no relation. As crazy as it might sound, it's true. Anyway, it isn't until she becomes his mentor that he finally sees her. But will this new circumstance spark a connection or show just how different they are?

"Fuck." He whispers into my neck, sending a thrill of excitement through my body. His lips still smothered kisses over my neck and his hands roamed my body, starting at my chest, going down to my stomach. Caressing my soft skin, his thumb trailed circles on my groin before slightly slipping into the waistband of my jeans. My breath catches in my throat as I pull at the hoodie that covered his chiselled body. Understanding, Jacob pulls it off in one swift movement before attaching his lips back on my neck. Sucking and biting it before flicking his tongue over the sore spot. A quiet moan leaves my mouth and I clasp my hand over it, denying any noise to escape. "You drive me fucking crazy, Aria." ---------------------------- Aria Bailey finds it hard to fit in. Her parents are always busy and never have time for her. For with God nothing shall be impossible. (Luke 1:37) ~~~~~ Jasper is a screwed up kid, yet no one cares enough to find out why. Bruises hide his arms and alcohol stains the walls of his house, but he pushes forward because it's the only thing left for him to do. His days are spent in and out of the school psychologist's office, while his nights are spent in fear of his father. His guitar and the secluded spot by the train tracks where he likes to play are the only saving graces in the hell that is his life. No one disrupted this normal routine until Callie came. Callie is far from screwed up; she doesn't have family issues and doesn't understand the first thing about Jasper's world. Her house is filled with answered prayers and smiles of people who love each other. Her arms are clear and her head is full of optimism that Jasper doesn't buy for a second. She never second guessed her sunny disposition on life until she stumbled upon a boy and his guitar down by the train tracks. Callie and Jasper weren't supposed to cross paths. She wasn't supposed to care and he wasn't supposed to let her get under his skin, but then again opposites weren't supposed to attract either. Callie saw the good in him where most people thought there was none ; she was captivated by Jasper because he made her question everything she knew about the world. She thought it would be easy to teach him that there was still good left in the world, that there was more beyond all the bad he'd become accustomed to. She thought fixing him would be easy, but nothing worthwhile is ever easy and sometimes it takes more than one girl's overly optimistic persistence to pull a person out of the hell they've been living in; sometimes it takes faith and realizing that some things can't be done without it... ~~~~~ -Highest Ranking: #8 in spiritual, 10/25/17 ; #1 in Christianity, 2019 -Wattpad Featured Novel: 10/19/17

What could possibly go wrong there. Millie Dawson was a young teacher, Twenty three years old, newly graduated with a masters degree and teaching her first year at the community college, whilst simultaneously assisting her mother Moira at the university in her speciality, psychology.
