What happens when Jamie is living in a house that doesn't belong to her?
Jamie Carter, a young woman who has lived with Willie Bennett, her (not related) grandfather since her Mother passed and Father became enthralled with his business. Six months ago her grandfather unexpectedly passed, stunned and stricken by grief, Jamie, with no real plan for the future is now a local carpenter and babysitter, remaining in her grandfathers house till she is back on her feet.
Cole Bennett, vowed to leave the small town life behind him and now he is respected, rich and successful, hearing about his grandfathers unfortunate death, he doesn't think much of it, tossing the funeral invitation into the junk pile, until he hears about the will, expected to be left some money he is disappointed when he is only left the old house but decides to go back once and for all to sell it and finally be done with his small town life.

Side not here, Jamie and Cole ARE NOT RELATED, Jamie's mother was raised by Willie but they are not blood, and Jamie didn't know Willie till she was sixteen, while Cole left a few months before Jamie arrived but he was never close with Willie. So Cole and Jamie DO NOT know each other and Wille never told them about each other so they don't know each other up until the book takes place, so its not weird, they aren't family and don't know each other in that way.
