This book does not follow the cliché Experimented Deku plot line, though there is aspects of it in order to build the story.
Inko knows what she needs to do in order to protect Izuku from Hisashi, but the idea goes against everything motherhood stands for. She will do whatever it takes to protect her from his father, evening giving him up to a home for the quirkless, hoping to save his future from the pain and suffering Hisashi would put him through.
Little does she know, she condemns him to a fate that's arguably worse than death in the hands of the devil incarnate.

Izuku Midoriya was one of the students that were participate into civil war game that Nezu came up with. However Izuku was chosen to be the villain. Needless to say that he was devoted to be the best villain they ever have seen after what they did to him. They thought he was the UA traitor and put him through a lot only because of his love for quirks and his hobby to analyze and write them down. As if that was not enough his mother hated him because of his status of quirklessness. Now in the middle of the game, Izuku made a terrible choice that may cost his live. However what he found himself into was not the infirmary of UA or heaven, no he found himself in the body of his past self in a different world where everything was still open for him. He quickly find out that this was not his past since he now had a loving mother and memories of his past 14 years in a 13 year old body.
