Brooklyn Stewerd was the kind of girl to be unnoticed. She was barely a shadow in the Westbrook High School crowds, and all too easily pushed around. In reality, she was more than that though. Because she, alone, wrote the "Popularity Scale," scaling the top 100 people in the school on their popularity. And being placed in the Popularity Scale was no longer just an honor. It had become a way of life. But the popularity was slowly ruining the school. Because popularity wasn't all that it was envisioned to be. It was much, much worse. It was changing who people used to be, and maybe more importantly, ruining them. It turned them into shells of a person, lacking personality, and lacking the will or energy to go on. And the source to the problems was the Popularity Scale. But she had vowed to use it to fix their school. She was going to fix them, and the mess she created. Or maybe, just make it worse, and drive some people down a far worse road.
