My name is Sybil Crawley; I am 16 years of age. I have dark brown hair and blue eyes. This is a record of my life through love, battle and loss. My father Robert Crawley is the Earl of Downton, so I am known as Lady Sybil Crawley. I live in a grand house, with my father, mother, and three sisters; 2 older. As well as our family, there are the servants downstairs who take care of us as well as our home.

I am expected to marry at the age of age 18, to a Lord or Duke. However all the men my parents have arranged for me to meet are not very... well let us just say they are not handsome, so to speak. Of course they are wealthy and have high titles, but I want more from life than just that, I want to marry someone who can make me laugh someone like Tom...

The year is 1922. "You want me to what?!" Edith exclaimed at her grandmother who was sitting on the other side of the small table, calmly pouring herself tea as if she didn't just suggest something that might ruin her social life forever. "For goodness sakes, child, you heard me. I know very well the one going deaf is me not you." "You want me to marry Tom!? Are you mad?!" Edith scoffed at the Dowager Countess without any remorse at all. "Do you have any better ideas to be able to keep your child?" Edith sighed. Unfortunately, she did not. It's been a week since Dr. Goldman had given her the surprising news that she was with child and therefore her social reputation will be arriving to its impending doom in nine months, maybe less.
