The Light's Trial

Things were doing fine in Doors. No signs of glitches or anomalies were detected by Curious Light. And the game went smoothly as planned, the entities were following their codes and being themselves in their free time. Mischievous Light was surprisingly nowhere to be seen, but most were glad. Eventually, Doors' creators made an update. It was about something like a collaboration with another game or something, whatever it was, it was big. Due to this, there will be much more coding and stuff which will lead to glitches and anomalies entering the game, so the lights were in charge to make sure this doesn't happen.

So far everything was going smoothly with the update, and nothing huge happened during it, maybe minor things but it was once a blue. But as days passed, Guiding Light couldn't help but notice something in the corner of their eye. Purple chains? What even was that, they thought before telling Curious Light. He shrugged it off as he didn't spot any coding or glitches for it, saying it probably due to the extra stress. But as days continued Guiding Light couldn't help but worry, until one day, they saw it again but this time it stayed. Right in front of them. Cautiously, they approached it, as they did, the chains started glowing brighter, almost alluring Guiding Light closer.

Suddenly Guiding Light lost control of their body as their hand reached forward to touch the chains. Just as they were about to, Mischievous Light appeared in thin air and reached for them shouting "Don't!", but it was too late. Guiding Light touched it.
