Gabriela "Gabby" Locke hasn't thought about 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 since her father left. After her mom's remarriage, and moving to a new 𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙧 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝, humiliation and uneasiness pierces Gabriela's ego.

Terrence Maylone seems 𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 and 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 on the outside. A creation God definitely took his time on. He's a sports whack and although being a 𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙧, he has respect from his peers.

Gabriela thought one day, and decided on the first day of the new term, she'd go and join the new 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗱, made up of scatters of people she'd hardly talked to before.

And although Terrence seems perfectly stoic and careless, inside he is wondering -- 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘦? -- and which friends are real and which aren't. It's like his life has taken a complete turn -- and he's right, once he stumbles upon a makeshift "band" practice --

And meets the sweet, sarcastic girl who "dabbles in a bit of everything". Who seems to walk through the hallways alone. Who plays like there's no tomorrow.

But for Gabriela, this is all a nightmare. Her old unrequited love who jumbled up 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙚 𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 she had without even knowing of her existence -- was now in the same band as her!
