When vampires Jude and Elias go to collect an overdue debt they are offered an alternative payment in the form of a human named Theodore.
Jude is determined to show the boy that he is only there as a living blood bag, but Elias sees something else in Theo that he hasn't seen in a hundred years.

"Theodore. My name is Theodore." He hadn't raised his head to look at them, but his voice alone was enough to get Elias moving.
"Well then," he stood with a clap of his hands, "let's get a move on!"
Elias bent down and effortlessly lifted Theodore up, resulting in a suprised squawk and an attempted kick to the groin. Elias shot Theodore a smile, his fangs on proud display. In a brief second the boys body was limp and unmoving.
"How unfortunate. I don't know why I assumed he wouldn't faint."
Jude just let out a strangled groan, realizing that this was going to be the man's new pet project until further notice

Noah moved to a new town just a few weeks before school starts back up again. He meets a few people on his bus and they end up best friends. One of them tells them about a party that they got invited to. They invite Noah and their other friend along. Noah gets sort of lost but finds his way to a corner. He hangs out there for a while until he feels someone bump into him. He's the one who says sorry and the other questions It. The question soon gets taken back. Someone calls the others name "Logan" Noah knew the boy was hot and he seemed nice, but he never got to ask him Anything. He snaps out of his thoughts when on of his friends show up. He skipped class just to find out, but he got caught and sent to detention. Noah was also there for passing notes in class. Logan groaned an annoyance when he remembered Noah from the party. Then it hit him like a rock. The boy from the party was leaving the notes. The bell rang and before Logan could say anything Noah was gone.
