As the fog of war lifts its veil, the emanations of war fall heavily on the shoulders of the soon-to-be reluctant King Jayce Talis. The Kingdoms of Piltover and Zaun have been poisoned by the dividing uprising of Hex and Shimmer Sorcery, a magically delight meant to be kept between the Royal Mages, Viktor and formerly Powder, and, as more knowledge continues to come to the stark light of each terrifying day, contention rises. Alas, Jayce is honoured the opportunity to form an alliance through marriage with Noxus, a Kingdom promising the abolishment of sorcery to cease the further undoing of man - but such a treaty would mean sacrificing the one dearest person to himself.
And while he confronts a trial of decisions for the welfare and promise of his crown and desperately attempts to guard his heart, a larger, corrupted plot unfolds.
