Living in New York City at 21 years old sounds like a dream, right? Combine that with working two dead-end jobs just to make ends meet, and the fantasy quickly fades. This is the harsh reality for Soleil. When she gets the chance to become an event planner for New York's elite, she jumps at the opportunity. Little does she know, the cute guy she bumped into just a few hours earlier is about to turn her world upside down.

Expensive suits, shiny cars, and pearly white smiles-Milo is the epitome of New York's high society. Many envy his position as the heir to the country's most successful technology company-at least according to Forbes. Milo seems to have it all, so nobody would suspect that behind the charming facade is a man who grew up running around the streets of the Bronx. After a tragic event thirteen years ago, Milo's life was ripped away and replaced with one he's never truly felt he belonged in. On what seems like just another night of barely keeping it together, Milo finds the life raft he didn't know he needed. That life raft, however, has a head full of curls-and unfortunately wants nothing to do with him.

He's like an annoying ray of sunshine that blinds you while you're trying to drive. Milo is all dimples and constant affection, and Soleil just can't seem to shake him. He's at her job, outside her house with cold medicine when she's sick, and tagging along on her 5 a.m. runs. Soleil's idea of love has been warped from an early age, but for some inexplicable reason, she feels a pull toward Milo-whether for better or worse. Whatever it is, she just hopes it doesn't leave her even more broken. Besides, there's something too familiar about him.
