Nightmare World

My first original story. I hope you all like it.

In the year 2015, the human race was plunged into a world of horror media. To survive, they must complete challenges and give closure to the endless horrors that await. Plants no longer grow, domesticated animals are no longer a thing. The only way to get food is in the trials or from someone who already has it.

200 years have passed since that day. The old order has crumbled. The dystopia has passed. A new order has been established. Humans have long since adapted and evolved to deal with this nightmare. Every one of them have developed an ability called Phantasma.

Enter Fable, a boy with a useless phantasma. Without the ability to fight off the nightmares like everyone else, he must rely on his wits to uncover the secrets of the nightmares and bring food for his family. It's a good thing he knows how to think.
