Okay, we know Espoir's story. We've read it. I've written it and we've all cried or got angry at a character's actions. Life is like that. Except this time I've started to rewrite it and this time Espoir's (hopefully) more fleshed out.

The Weight of Grief
It's almost funny. How grief sneaks up on you. One second, you're fine; you're coping well and then it hits you like a bullet, tearing right through your heart, almost killing you on the spot. Grief is a monster that lies dormant in the darkest quarters of your mind, growing stronger and stronger until you can't fight anymore. Until you can't breathe. Peter was fractured. The monster having grown too big, and without any support left to hold him up, the world of drugs dug its claws into him. And it was slowly killing him, like a sickly sweet poison that dulled the pain while quietly feeding on his soul. He was powerless to stop it. He was too tired to stop it. Tony was doing pretty good. Aside from having died, he was doing pretty good. Resurrected from the dead, check. Thanos dead, check. Wife and daughter thriving, check. He'd never expected to get his life back, that was for sure. He was thankful for the second chance. Unfortunately, Tony was quick to discover that the kid had all but lost his own life. It felt like a knife slowly twisting into his chest every time he saw the kid: in agony. Now Tony wasn't exactly the poster-child for a good emotional support figure, but he wasn't about to sit back and let this continue. No matter how hard the kid fought him, no matter how much resistance he was met with, Tony would help the kid. Still, he couldn't help the fear that laced his blood. Hi. I've been doing this long enough that im changing the old description of this story, so welcome! This is a collection of one shots about none other than Peter Parker. It follows him in many situations, kidnapping, sickness, daily life, etc. I like to write a lot of sick fics (of a wide variety) so if you read this be aware that Peter is sick more often than not. I will always put a trigger warning at the top of chapters where it may apply (please comment if I need to add a warning that I may have forgotten). I will not write smut. "Reality is whatever I want." "We'll see." This story uses Marvel's idea of infinity stones, but they're more prevalent. Everyone has at least one. I have an external link at the bottom of most of the chapters that leads to a Google Doc that explains the world. Please let me know if it works. Since Wattpad has an age of consent in their guidelines, I will have the explicit scenes on AO3 and not on here. If scenes like that make you uncomfortable, this will be the version without any of that. If you're curious, I don't use any of the more graphic words, this kind of thing makes me a bit uncomfortable so I wrote it in a way that didn't make me feel weird. Either way, you read whichever version you like. The Wattpad version will allude to some of those scenes however because some are quite important. I'll probably put an announcement or something at the start to let you know.
