Desolate

A swarm of rogue nanotechnology engulfed the planet, leaving nothing but desolation. The world ended not with a bang but rather with the silent, creeping tragedy of climate engineering spinning out of control.

Karciah Vhough almost made it through the fall. Raised by scientists who hoped to save the world, she now wanders the wasteland by herself, plagued by memories of a past she cannot escape. Hope, however, wavers when she hears rumors of a secret military installation that promises security and order.
