The doors to the boardroom slammed open with a force that echoed through the silence. Heads turned, eyes narrowed, and a cold breeze seemed to follow him as he stepped inside. Lucian Draxford, the Sovereign, the man who had no equal, stood in the doorway like a storm about to strike. His black suit hugged his frame, sharp and flawless, while his piercing eyes scanned the room with an unspoken command. The tension was palpable. It was as if the very air bent to his will. He didn't need to speak; his presence alone was enough. Every decision, every move made in the room had been shaped by his influence, yet here he was again-reminding them that they were all merely pieces in his game. Lucian stepped forward, the weight of the world on his shoulders, as if every breath he took would bring nations to their knees. "I hope I haven't kept you waiting," he said, his voice low, rich, and edged with danger, the words carrying a warning. The others exchanged nervous glances, but they knew better than to challenge him. To challenge him was to embrace ruin. ___ The city skyline gleamed under the darkened sky, but it paled in comparison to the fire that burned within Cassian Draxford. The shadows seemed to bend around him as he strode into the room, a defiant grin playing on his lips. He wasn't here to make peace; he was here to tear down everything Lucian had built. "Well, well... looks like I'm just in time for the show," Cassian said with a wicked smile, his voice like velvet, but with an undercurrent of menace. His footsteps were measured, slow, but each one was a promise of chaos. The others stood frozen, unable to look away, caught in the orbit of his intensity. "Don't worry, brother. I'm here to make things interesting." Cassian's eyes locked with Lucian's, a spark of rivalry and something far darker simmering between them. He didn't need to declare war-his presence alone was the declaration.

FOR THE DETAILED DESCRIPTION, READ PROLOGUE. As the description was too lengthy. i couldn't write it here. :) _______________________________ "Sera, I am not the one to repeat my words. So you better say yes in front of the whole kingdom when I ask you to mark me," Damien said, glaring at me. "Never," I spat. "I will never mark you, you fucking hybrid," I said with all the anger inside me. "Then you leave me no choice," he said as his eye color shifted from hazel to a deep crimson red. His vampire side had taken over. He took a step closer, and my heart started pounding in my chest. I knew exactly what was going to happen next. This time, it was his vampire side. Last time, it was his wolf. Each time I resisted him, he hurt me, made me regret it. And now I knew he was going to compel me, force the answer he wanted out of me. I quickly shut my eyes tightly so he couldn't use his power against me. There was no point in running, I was already injured, already weak. A cold, dark laugh filled the room, sending a shiver down my spine. "My, my, look how afraid you are, my Sera," he mocked. I could feel him getting closer, his presence suffocating. Suddenly, he yanked my hair back, hard. I screamed in pain, but I refused to open my eyes. "Be my good girl and open your eyes, Seraphina," he commanded, his voice low and dangerous. "Never," I growled in defiance. I couldn't believe the Moon Goddess had mated me to this monster. I despised him. Every inch of my soul hated him. "Give me all the pain you want, but I will never obey you," I spat, my voice filled with hatred. He chuckled darkly. "Then, as you wish," he murmured. I barely had time to process his words before sharp pain pierced my neck. His fangs sank into my flesh with full force, tearing through my skin. I let out a blood-curdling scream as agony burned through me. My eyes snapped open involuntarily, locking onto his, and in that moment, I realized I had made a terrible mistake.
