Codenamed Weapon X, Laura Kinney is the product of Cadmus's most dangerous experiment to date. Infused with Promethium, the strongest metal in the known universe, her skeleton has been rendered indestructible, her claws razor-sharp, and her body a perfect synthesis of volatile and stable elements. Designed to outlast and outfight any adversary, Laura was created to be the ultimate weapon.

But perfection comes at a price. The process to infuse her skeleton with Promethium pushed even Laura's near-limitless regenerative abilities to their breaking point. The procedure inflicted catastrophic internal damage, briefly stunning her regenerative power for the first time in her life. Her body, though capable of recovering from almost anything, has been overwhelmed, forcing her into a deep, coma-like healing state as her cells adapt and repair. Cadmus scientists observe in awe as her regeneration slowly resumes, knowing that when she awakens, she will be unstoppable.

The timing couldn't be worse for Cadmus. Just as Laura's body begins to mend, the Young Justice Team storms the base during a mission to expose Cadmus's latest experiments. The Team discovers her in the midst of recovery, encased in a reinforced stasis pod designed to stabilize her during the critical post-experiment phase. Conner Kent, already uneasy with Cadmus's history of creating living weapons, feels a deep sense of dread as he realizes the lengths the lab has gone to in creating Weapon X.All Rights Reserved
