She often escapes into her street photography, capturing life around her, trying to preserve the beauty and freedom that seems so elusive in her personal life.

Her friends, each dealing with their own trials, are a lifeline. Laila, miles away in another part of England, offers the best advice and always has her back. Angel, who works with her, is her source of laughter, while Kiyana pulls her into wild adventures. Naomi, Dahiana, and Ashmita are the people who know her deepest fears and dreams, but it's Johanna, her new friend at university, who offers a breath of fresh air.
