Lina, a young archaeologist specializing in Nordic civilizations, leads a quiet, orderly life. But everything changes when she travels to Norway for an excavation and discovers a mysterious artifact engraved with ancient runes.
Upon touching the object, Lina is propelled into another reality: her past, when she was Ástríðr, a respected Viking warrior and witness to a bygone world. In this new world, two men shape her destiny: Sverrir, a loyal warrior with quiet strength, and Ivar, an enigmatic Viking whose magnetic aura awakens deeply buried memories and emotions.
Torn between her modern identity and her past existence, Lina/Ástríðr finds herself at the heart of an ancient quest linked to the goddess Freyja, to which the artifact holds the key. The runes, bearers of mysteries and prophecies, will guide her on a journey where each choice could upset not only her future, but also the laws of time and destiny.
Faced with intense dilemmas between love, duty and freedom, Lina will have to draw on unsuspected strengths and accept the parts of light and shadow that make up her soul. But on this journey, each revelation brings Lina closer to a price she must pay: sacrifice a part of herself to reconcile past and present, or give up what she desires to safeguard the balance of worlds.
