Little summer

Now for the story..

In the warm embrace of a summer breeze, two kids' destinies intertwine. Penelope, absorbed in her own world, encounters a scrappy brown-haired boy who seems just a little older-or so she believes. What begins as a simple fuss over a brightly colored plastic shovel unexpectedly transforms into a budding playmate situation. But Penelope isn't ready to let her guard down just yet. With the shadows of her past lurking, she must navigate this new friendship with cunning and subtlety, determined to slip away without igniting suspicion. How can she break free without unraveling the threads of a familiar tale that she fears may repeat itself?
