Years ago, Heidi Grindley and her mother had went on a trip to Louisiana before vampires came out to the world, when Hieidi Grindley was seven years old, and Hiedi snuck out of her room, since she's autistic, she tended to run off outside to go play by herself, a bad habit, and when she did, she found Eric Northman by the hotel pool that night, and Eric entertained her that night, until she fell asleep, and her mother found the two.
Her mother thanked him for finding her.
They left Louisiana.
Eric instantly grew fond of Hiedi, and never forgot her.
Years later, Hiedi and her mother move to Bon Tempts, however tragedy strikes, when Heidi's neuropathy was progressing to the point to where she could lose the use of her legs, and she was desperate to not lose the use of her legs, so after learning vampires exist, she decided to go to the infamous Shreveport bar, and find a vampire that was willing to turn her, so that she cannot lose the use of her legs.
She finds the very man that entertained her when she was seven, Eric Northman, yet she do not remember him, however he does, and agrees to turn her, but for a price of her being his, until she loses the use of her legs, abd he turn her, the two being together forever.
