"You didn't tell me you were leaving," he said, his voice low, steady, yet laced with something dangerous.
Her breath hitched. "I didn't think I had to."
His jaw clenched as he took a slow step toward her. "You don't get to disappear on me, cara. I'll burn this city to the ground before I let anyone take you from me."
The words were a warning, but in his eyes, she saw the truth-behind the icy walls,a she was the only one who mattered.
