In a world where every move has meaning, Stacey, HUMSS's top dancer, lives to express herself through her steps. Avery has spent her entire life with a one track mind: Dance. When her training and focus finally pays off and she is accepted to one of the most prestigious dance academy's in the nation, she doesn't hesitate to leave her life back home for a chance at being the best. There's not much she wouldn't do or leave behind for the opportunity, which doesn't surprise anyone because she's been doing it since she first put on a pair of ballet shoes. School, boys, friends, family; it all became nonexistent as her number one priority, always, is her training. After she picks up and leaves to attend The Motion Dance Academy in California, she quickly realizes her time there will be a challenge. Between the hierarchy amongst peers and abuse of power from instructors there are countless personal struggles that ballerina's who train the way these girls do have to deal with day in and day out. And while Avery is able to juggle the high demands and expectations of her training at TMDA, meeting a boy is not something she saw coming. She doesn't know how to maintain a dance-life balance, but after all these years, is more than willing to try... for him. Cooper, a wildly talented guitarist who plays in a band is everything she should stay away from with his tattoos, piercings, long bleached hair and that smile of his. But she quickly learns Cooper is a lot more than he appears on the outside. He is an aspiring singer-songwriter whose is struggling to break from his band and produce his own original music. Avery finds a way for them to work together in the upcoming fall showcase where she needs to stand out in her solo and he can break in to getting his songs out there for the world to hear. In Every Way is a story that dives deep into the dance industry and what it's really like to have the pressures of being a professional ballerina while intertwining original lyrics from a musician who is inspired by the girl in the pointe shoes.
