Kael Obsidian grew up fascinated by gemstones, a passion nurtured by his mother, a renowned gemstone researcher. She was his guiding light, always promising him treasures of the earth. But tragedy struck when a cave-in claimed her life during one of her expeditions, leaving behind only a single survivor: A mysterious Sableye she intended as Kael's final gift.
Kael's father, once a kind lab assistant at the professor's lab, was shattered by the loss. Consumed by grief and bitterness, he could barely stand the sight of Sableye, which he saw as a cruel reminder of his wife's death. This tension grew over the years.
Scarred by the event, Kael withdrew from the world, guilt, and betrayal hardened his heart. With Sableye as his sole companion, Kael sets out on a journey to find a place where he can call home, far from the shadows of his past. But as he wanders, questions linger: Can he forgive himself for what happened? And will the bond with Sableye be enough to lead him toward healing, or will it plunge him deeper into the darkness?
