Lindel Tamaki had a rough life when he was a little kid, always being judged because of his father, but now with being at U.A. he is the popular kid, the handsome one, the one with the amazing quirk. He reaches for the top, trying to become the next number one.

All of his friends are as well, and even though they all are reaching for the same goal, they still hang out, and mess around with each other. In which Shinsou Hitoshi is a selective mute who hates burdening others trying to become a hero, and gives up after failing to get a different Quirk via a swan-dive. Or, a deeper bisection on how Quirks put expectations on their metahuman wielders, especially those who get viewed as villains for a power they didn't ask to be born with.
