Beyond Their World

Robert Walker is a bored data analyst, thirty four and alone on new year's eve. Forced Back to London after half a decade in Oxford for a work retreat conveniently planned around the Christmas holiday Robert's week stay turned into months of a cruel joke if he ever saw one.

Robert, Eveyln and Alistair are strangers caught in the middle of a struggle decades in the making. A machine was built to siphon power with consequences beyond comprehension but through the brave actions of our main three, the machine was destroyed, the rift was closed, and the world was saved. Though the world may never know it faced its last seconds, the three and those closest went on to live happily and content, with the appearance and embrace of an old friend they once thought to be dead.

That is a story with a happy ending.

But What If? What if two went missing instead of one during the events that led to the collapse of the rift and the destruction of the machine. What if one of the machine's masterminds had more time to craft his greatest piece, centuries before he mattered. What if through the mistake of the three by closing the rift, they caused a change so devastating, the machine's creation never mattered.

On the night they were to meet, Robert, Eveyln and Alistair would see the first alterations of the choices, even if they never knew they made such choice.

What if, instead of a black out from a machine drilling into a world beyond ours, it shattered the barrier and from that nightmares entered and turned the sky inside out.

Robert, Evelyn and Alistair must find an old friend, determine what changed and fix it before our world and the beyond it solidify into a plane the may never go back to normal...A hell on earth.
